What is the “Cyprus digital nomad visa”?

The Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa Scheme welcomes nationals from non-EU and non-EEA countries who can perform location-independent work using telecommunications technology. This scheme allows them to reside temporarily in Cyprus while working for an employer registered abroad or providing services to companies or clients located outside Cyprus.

Procedure of Application

 Submit the application and required documents to the Migration Department in Nicosia within three months of arrival.

 Applications may be submitted in person or through an authorized representative.

 Biometric data capture (photo, fingerprints, and signature) is required for the issuance of the temporary residence permit.

 Examination time typically ranges from 5 to 7 weeks from submission.

Duration of temporary residence permit

A first temporary residence permit is issued with a validity of one year. In case of renewal, the temporary residence permit is issued with a validity of maximum two years.
